Childbirth, A Pain That’s Not Worth The Suffering, It’s Worth The Joy

Childbirth, a pain that's not worth the suffering, it's worth the joy

Childbirth is not worth the suffering, it is worth all the joy that surprising news can produce. You’ve waited for this news for a long time and prepared, perhaps, your whole life. This does not mean that with all the bliss of childbirth you will completely forget about the intense pain you felt. On the other hand, the immense satisfaction one feels when receiving a loved one in your arms for the first time surpasses any pain.

Childbirth: emotions encountered

The happiness that childbirth brings compares to few things, or rather none.

There is no emotion greater than this in the world. Not by winning a grand prize, graduating from the course you’ve always dreamed of, or marrying the ideal man or woman.

However, just as this magical moment of giving life to another human being, blood of your blood, is intensely lived, so is the suffering caused by many hours of contractions. At that moment, the clock stops ticking and the relief is far, far away, it even seems unattainable.

Childbirth is a stronghold of emotions found because pain and happiness are intensely lived together.

Childbirth, a pain that is not worth the suffering

If the woman did not give birth in pain, nor did she feel such an intense sensation in her chest, perhaps childbirth would not be such a great moment or such a memorable moment.

It is necessary to recognize that the most vivid memories are those that place the human being in extreme situations, both in joy and sadness, as well as in the pain of childbirth.

Nobody remembers dull moments because the brain is simply concerned with “cutting” the ones that are really significant, the ones that left their marks due to their intensity.

If that were the case, it may be that the birth would not have been worth it and the babies would be born the same way that the fruit sprouts from a tree, everywhere and without arousing emotions.

Childbirth, a pain that is worth the joy!

Childbirth, the exact moment when one woman’s pregnancy comes to an end and someone else’s life begins, produces unimaginable joy.

It is a time attended by doctors and nurses (if necessary), for which the pregnant woman prepares for an average of 40 weeks.

It is the ultimate moment of nervousness, despair and ecstasy that both the mother and the family waiting outside the delivery room await.

Because the mother is the first to experience the surprise of the birth of a child, or children, while the family remains alert and anxious, waiting for the news from the obstetrician’s mouth:

“It’s a beautiful 3.5 kg boy! Everything went well.”

These few but precise words provoke a sea of emotions and happiness.

The father is congratulated, grandparents celebrate, uncles, cousins, the entire entourage celebrates the moment when a new member enters the family to further increase the feeling of happiness.

Childbirth, a pain that is not worth the suffering, it is worth the joy!

The moment of childbirth tends to arouse fear in women.

The one who is giving birth for the first time feels fear due to the feeling of uncertainty that this unknown moment provokes. Fear increases thanks to the opinions and diverse experiences of other women:

“This pain is unlike any other.”

“I had contractions for 10 hours until my son was born”.

“The worst thing is that, after being in pain for almost 24 hours, I didn’t dilate and had to do a cesarean”.

happiness

Women who have been through this know what they are going to undergo and, since the previous birth was more or less painful, so will the intensity of fear.

However, all women, both those who had a good birth, those on the first trip and those who suffered many hours of pain, agree on one thing:

“The very moment you see this very special being who is breathing and crying for the first time, you only have eyes for him.”

Fear, nervousness and sweating disappear completely.

When your baby is born, you feel tremendous relief, it’s a fantastic thing. You quickly relax like never before in your life. A mixture of surprise, alienation and joy that no words can describe.”
