The sandwich recipes for kids that we present below include the eight food groups so you can adapt them to any occasion: breakfast, lunch, dinner, birthday party, or afternoon snack.

1. Sushi style tuna sandwich

Let’s start with the classic tuna sandwich because it’s a children’s favorite. We can practically say that there is no child who can resist this dish. But in this case, the presentation will be a little different, as the child will have to eat the sandwich with hashi, the famous Japanese chopsticks.

Ingredients

  • Cream cheese
  • 200 grams of tuna
  • 1 small avocado
  • 1 small pepper
  • rye bread for sandwich

Preparation mode

Remove the crust from the bread and flatten the slice as much as possible. Then spread the cream cheese evenly over each slice of bread. Then place the tuna, a small cube of avocado and an even smaller piece of bell pepper on top.

Roll the slices and apply pressure with your hands to make them firm and compact, like a sushi roll. Then, with the help of a knife, cut it into smaller sizes so your child can chew it easily.

2. Piano-shaped fruit sandwich

Ingredients

  • Strawberries.
  • bananas
  • Raisins.
  • Sandwich bread.
  • Chocolate syrup.
  • Dried fruits (optional).
  • Peanut butter.

Preparation mode

First, carefully peel off the slices. Save them for decoration at the end. Then, fill the sandwich first with the peanut butter, then placing the chopped fruit in slices, the raisins, the dried fruit (if you want to use it) and, finally, the chocolate syrup.

Then you should cut the prepared sandwich into six slices an inch wide, but keeping them next to each other. On top of the seven cut slices (seven because of the musical notes, from ‘do’ to ‘si’), you must place the peels you have separated, which must be ‘glued’ to the bread, passing chocolate syrup between the pieces. This is an excellent option for sweet and healthy snacks.

3. Egg sandwich and happy face

Ingredients

  • Salt to taste.
  • 2 slices of bread.
  • 1 slice of cheese.
  • 1 slice of ham.
  • 1 slice of cucumber cut in half.
  • Butter.
  • 1 black olive pitted, cut in half.
  • 1 egg.
  • Red peppers.

Preparation mode

First, butter the two slices of bread. Then you can heat it in a skillet or in the oven to brown it a little. When the bread is firm, remove from heat and set aside.

Separately, fry an egg in the skillet, adding the necessary amount of salt. When it’s ready, you can prepare the sandwich. On top of one of the slices place the cheese, the ham and, finally, the egg.

To decorate, you must make a hole in the center of the other slice of bread, exactly where the nose on a face would be. Then place it on top of the other slice with the filling, leaving the egg yolk exposed, like a clown’s nose.

For the eyes, decorate with halves of the olives and, for the mouth, a strip of red pepper. Finally, for the ears, the cucumber slices.

Ready! Now you know three delicious and fun sandwich recipes for kids. Try preparing at home and share with your children a delicious, beautiful and fun dish.
